This monthโs cases emphasise the importance of having strong cybersecurity safeguards and policies in place to ensure that the organisationโs personal data is not accessible to malicious actors.
This includes:
๐ having robust IT access controls and utilising unique passwords nas IDs
๐ conducting regular security reviews to ensure an organisationโs website or database has reasonable security arrangements in place.
๐ strengthening an organisationโs data protection policies to eliminate any security gaps
๐ implementing multi factor authentication for all to limit unauthorised access.

An active effort in the PDPA compliance comes a long way for organisations. They should not take data breaches lightly and should always avoid being complacent with their cybersecurity hygiene.
